![]() Please check your registry values, make sure they are equal to the list below. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I would be willing to pay someone to help with this if it means i don't have to rebuild from scratch. I guess VMware doesn't support the Optimization tool under support agreements, or at least that's what i was told. I do not have a snapshot to roll back pre optimization and have made many changes to this image since optimizing. Apparently the Security Center service is required to detect security providers which would then either disable Windows AV or put it in passive mode? On my current image(s), the 3rd party AV is not able to take over. The 3rd party AV registers itself correctly and the Windows security settings reflect this 3rd party AV in the security settings. I just built a new test VM to test Windows AV alongside a 3rd party antivirus WITHOUT running the OSOT. ![]() Please understand the risks before using it. Source Code This script has not been checked by Spiceworks. Is there any way to reverse the changes made to Windows Antivirus/Security Center/Firewall and any settings that may be directly related to them?įor some reason after running the OSOT on b1171, The 'Security Center' service is no longer available to start. I dont think that is a virus its just a registry key that disables the AntiSpyware feature in Microsoft Defender but if you want to remove it press windows key + r and type 'regedit' then copy and paste 'hklmsoftwarepoliciesmicrosoftwindows defender' in the search box and remove the key DisableAntiSpyware. Description If, like me, you have third party AV installed and need Windows Defender to go away and stay away, these registry entries will take care of it.
